Nicole + Jason, NYC Elopement #FlashbackFriday

I met Nicole when I was fifteen years old working at a summer camp in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. We hadn't spoken to each other in over ten years, so when I saw a message in my Facebook inbox from her this past December - it peaked my interest. She excitedly told me of her life, her fiancé, and their grand idea of a City Hall wedding in NYC. Nicole & Jason planned on inviting their parents in to the city for a 'holiday lunch', but would  in fact direct them to City Hall where they would be waiting in their wedding best for a winter elopement! I don't normally shoot weddings, but when I heard about their special day I couldn't pass up being a part of it!

Nicole & Jason got ready that day at a hotel in Astoria. We wove our way through the subway and blustery city streets before finally arriving at the park in Manhattan. Jason called both sets or parents, helping them make their way to the 'restaurant' before the moment finally arrived. It was an amazing day full of cherished memories and new beginnings.
