This face might look familiar to you - it’s the wonderful Kelly Towart! She is a sweet friend of mine who’s continuing to gain exposure as a local fashion and motherhood blogger. I had the chance to collaborate with her again this past November, for her holiday campaign with Daniel Wellington (they make AMAZING watches, you can check them out here). Kelly really wanted an urban feel for this session. Since we had already done a session in New Haven, I wanted this one to look different - so we made our way to the abandon factories in Collinsville. The red buildings and moss-covered brick gifted us with the perfect holiday background. Highlights from our session are below. Enjoy!
I'm a little bias with this one folks. Earlier in the summer I had the opportunity to work with the wonderful Brittnay Smith, the boss lady behind Boxley Creek Designs. They are a small business based out of Arkansas. And Brittany crafts the cutest bandanna bibs while her little one naps each afternoon.
Brittany sent me a few samples in the mail, and my sweet baby James got to try them out first hand. Boxley Creek bibs come in lots of great seasonal colors and patterns and have a snap closure in the back. This was a huge help considering my little guy is notorious for ripping bibs off mid-meal. The fabric is super comfy and they fit great. I am super picky about how bandana bibs lay around the neck - and these fit just right! They were put to the ultimate test during our photo session. Turns out the area wasn't fully baby-proofed! My coffee was in full reach of those chubby little baby hands. Before I knew it, I looked back to find my little guy trying to take a sip of my lukewarm coffee (all the mamas out there know there is no such thing as hot coffee anymore).
Check out some of my favorites from our session below. To see more of Boxley Creek Designs, you can sneak a peak at their Instagram here, or check out The Little Movement Shop a great little online boutique that carries Boxley Creek Designs.
