Caitlin + Lukas, Hawk's Landing Wedding

While in college, Caitlin ventured to Vienna to spend a semester studying abroad. Early in to the stay, she spent a night out on the town with friends.  Unbeknownst to her at that time, she would end up meeting her future husband Lukas that night, through mutual friends. The next day, Lukas invited Caitlin to take a long walk through the city. As they walked the historic streets of Vienna, they found themselves at Schönbrunn Castle.

“We roamed the romantic gardens, enjoying the quiet calm atmosphere - it was February and there were barely any tourists in sight. This place, the site of our very first date, holds a special place in our hearts.”

Six years later, it would be this very same garden that Lukas would propose. To which Caitlin said yes!

Caitlin and Lukas had the pleasure of not one, but two weddings. Their first being in Vienna in the spring, and their second ceremony was stateside in July. The ceremony was held at the church Caitlin and her family grew up attending. Family and friends then traveled to Hawks Landing Country Club to celebrate. Guests arrived to well manicured lawns and a quaint patio offering drinks and lite appetizers. The property’s tall pines, sweeping golf course and other natural elements gave the day’s events a classic feel.  We were given access to one of the golf courses holes for photographs.  Incorporating the ebb and flow of the grounds in to the photos was really fun. I also love the way that the bridesmaid dresses and groomsman’s navy suits popped against the green landscape.  The evening winded down with dancing, and guests were able to enjoy Smores out on the patio.

Highlights from Caitlin and Lukas day are below. Enjoy!
